Josef Kubetzko (born November 19, 1875 in Eiglau, † 1938 in Gleiwitz ) was a German politician ( center ).

Live and act

Kubetzko was born the son of a master tailor. He attended elementary school in Eiglau from 1881 to 1889 and completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter in Bauerwitz in the Leobschütz district from 1890 to 1893 . At the same time he attended the advanced training school. From 1896 to 1898 Kubetzko was a member of the military. From 1899 to at least 1919 he worked as a carpenter for the state railway workshop. At this time he began to get involved politically: He became the second chairman of the Catholic workers 'association, chairman of the railway group, chairman of the workers' committee and member of the health insurance committee of the company health insurance fund. For the Center Party, he became a city councilor in 1908 and a city councilor in 1918.

In January 1919, Kubetzko was elected to the Weimar National Assembly as the center's candidate for constituency 10 ( Opole ) . In the first Reichstag elections of the Weimar Republic in June 1920, he entered the Reichstag for constituency 10 (Oppeln) . In December 1922 his mandate was declared invalid and the SPD politician Karl Okonsky was awarded.
