Josef Schewe

Josef Schewe (born March 26, 1921 in Hamburg , † August 26, 1978 in Osnabrück ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

From 1940 to 1947 he studied at the PTH Sankt Georgen . He was ordained a priest on November 30, 1949 in Osnabrück. In 1949 he became vicar at St. Marien (Eutin) . In 1951 he took over a representation in Quickborn . In 1952 he became a chaplain at St. Marien (Wedel) . In 1952 he became chaplain at the Assumption of Mary (Elmshorn) . In 1954 he became a chaplain at St. Answer in Ratzeburg . In 1955 he became pastor at St. Marien (Gelting) . At the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel he was born in 1958 with the dissertation of our dear women. Iconographic studies of the Virgin Mary of the Middle Ages for Dr. phil. PhD . In 1959 he became chaplain at the birth of St. Mariae in Iburg. In 1961 he became pastor at Trinity in Kiel . In 1968 he became rector and chaplain of the Bad Iburg maternity home . In 1968 he became a pastor at the parish church of the Sorrowful Mother in Icker . In 1971 he became pastor at St. Laurentius in Schledehausen. In 1977 he became cathedral vicar at St. Peter (Osnabrück) . From 1972 he headed the Diocesan Museum and was a diocesan monument curator. Since 1977 he has chaired the sub-commission on questions of ecclesiastical art.
