Josef Schoyerer
Josef Schoyerer (born March 7, 1844 in Berching , † July 12, 1923 in Munich ) was a German landscape painter .
Life
After attending the Latin school and the clerical seminar, Schoyerer studied law and initially became a legal intern. He was childless married to Therese Wagner, widowed Vettiger (born October 7, 1852 in Bayerdilling ), whose first marriage had also remained childless.
Later he turned to painting and became a student of Karl Millner . Mountain painting was a focus of his work, whereby he placed more emphasis on the composition than the detail. He went on numerous study trips to Tyrol and Italy , where, among other things, he painted the ore processing of the mine on the Silberleithe near Biberwier .
His painting Vorgebirgslandschaft is in the municipal gallery in the Lenbachhaus ; his painting View from Leutstetten on the Starnberger See in the Museum Starnberger See .
On July 15, 1923, he found his final resting place in the Sendlinger Friedhof in Munich .
