Josef Steurer

Josef Steurer (born August 24, 1927 in Munich ; † April 11, 2010 in Lindau (Bodensee) ) was a German local politician.

From 1964 to 1988, Steuer was the non-party mayor of Lindau (Lake Constance). During his term of office the establishment of the pedestrian zone and the construction of the island hall fall . He also represented the interests of the city from 1972 to 1990 in the district council of the Lindau district (Lake Constance).

In addition, he was a co-founder of the Oberschwaben gas supply, a member of the board of the Bavarian Savings Banks and Giro Association and of the Presidium of the German Association of Cities .
