Josef Wieser (politician, 1828)
Josef Wieser (also Joseph Wieser ; born November 28, 1828 in Völlan , Tyrol ; † February 8, 1899 in Bozen ) was an Austrian infuliert provost , dean and pastor in Bozen and politician.
Life
Like his brothers, Josef Wieser embarked on an academic career and was ordained a priest on January 13, 1854. He then worked for a short time as a cooperator in Laives , Sarnthein and Kaltern , then for 15 years as a theology professor in Trento . After his time in Trento he was a pastor in Bozen for 28 years. Elected as Provost of Bolzano by the Prelate Curia to the Austrian House of Representatives ( VI legislative period 1879–1885), he had to give up his mandate after one electoral term because of progressive blindness.
He died on February 8, 1899 in the provost of Bolzano as a result of pleurisy .
