Joseph-Pierre Borel d'Hauterive
Joseph-Pierre Borel d'Hauterive (born June 28, 1809 in Lyon , † July 14, 1859 in Mostaganem , Algeria ), called Petrus Borel , was a French writer.
It is part of the romantic movement. In his works he uses grotesque and deliberately shocking elements that have been rediscovered and greatly appreciated by the surrealists . Another literary contribution is the translation of the novel Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe .
