Joseph Adamy

Joseph Adamy (born January 15, 1778 in Oberwesel , † February 24, 1849 in Hadamar ) was a Nassau mine owner and politician. From 1828 to 1832 he was a member of the Nassau Landtag .

After Jacob Preuss's death in December 1826, he was elected to the Nassau Landtag as representative of the group of landowners in the constituency of Dillenburg . He remained a member of parliament for four years. In 1832 his mandate was revoked because he was one of the 15 MPs who boycotted the state parliament in 1832 in protest against the pair push of 1831 as part of the Nassau domain dispute .

In 1849 Adamy was a member of the "Association for the Implementation of the Imperial Constitution and for the Protection of People's Rights"

family

Joseph Adamy was the son of the surgeon (Franz) Joseph Adamy (* 1744/45; † March 6, 1784 in Oberwesel) and his wife Catharina née Herbrand (wedding on November 25, 1772). Joseph Adamy married his first wife Christina, nee Scheibel (June 11, 1765 - February 12, 1818) in Hadamar on September 6, 1801. After Christina's death, he married his second wife Therese nee Leyden (born August 8, 1877) in Mainz on March 24, 1819. Joseph Adamy was a Roman Catholic.
