Joseph Beraudo (born May 13, 1908 in Cannes , † July 18, 1958 ) was a French football player .

Career

The midfielder Beraudo was in the AS Cannes squad from 1927 ; with the team he entered the highest amateur league Division d'Honneur , which was the top division at the time due to the lack of a national professional league . However, there was a France-wide cup in which Cannes played for the title and made the leap to the national cup final in 1932 . Beraudo was on the pitch and secured the only national title of his career thanks to a 1-0 win against RC Roubaix .

Also in 1932 a national professional league was founded with Division 1 , which Cannes also belonged to. Beraudo was one of the founders of the new league and was a regular player in its first season; as such, he played 17 of the 18 games. With the team he made it to the final of the first year, which was still two-pronged, but lost it 3: 4 against Olympique Lille . The player remained loyal to the club until 1935, but then moved to the second division club OGC Nice . As early as 1936 he returned to first class at Cannes. The final end of his professional career followed in 1937.
