Joseph Carl Franz Xaver Heide

Joseph Carl Franz Xaver Heide (born June 2, 1801 in Frankenstein, Silesia Province , today Ząbkowice Śląskie , † March 25, 1867 in Ratibor ) was a German politician . In 1848 he was a member of the Fifties Committee and in 1848/1849 for a few months in the Frankfurt National Assembly .

From 1820 he studied Catholic theology in Breslau , where he was ordained a priest in 1825 . In 1846 he became Dr. phil hc, in 1852 Dr. theol. hc He first worked as a chaplain in Klein-Oels , soon became a pastor and religion teacher in Ratibor. Later he was school inspector, city pastor and member of the cathedral chapter in Wroclaw, later honorary canon . From 1862 he was chairman of the board of directors of the institution for the deaf and dumb in Ratibor.

In the revolutionary year of 1848 he founded the Catholic People's Association for Upper Silesia and was a member of the Catholic Club in Frankfurt am Main from October to December 1848 . From October 9, 1848 to January 13, 1849, Heide was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly for the 36th Province of Silesia (Ratibor). He replaced the murdered Felix von Lichnowsky and remained non-attached, but voted with the Right Center . His successor was Cyprian Lelek .
