Joseph Damian Max from Virmont

Joseph Ernst Damian Maximilian Philibert von Virmont zu Neersen (* October 30, 1707 ; † April 7, 1730 ) was an Elector of Cologne court official from the Lower Rhine noble family Virmond-Neersen .

Life

He was the older son and heir of Count Ambrosius Franz von Virmont zu Neersen and his first wife Eleonore Magdalena Wilhelmina von Bentheim-Tecklenburg-Steinfurt. His godfather was the Elector of Cologne and Archbishop Joseph Clemens of Bavaria .

He was kurkölnischer Chamberlain , court and government advice , and, since 1725 bailiff of Oedt unmarried and childless when he died in 1730 at the age of 22 years. He was buried in the family crypt in the Church of the Conception of Mary in Neersen .

Since his younger brother Johann Ludwig (* 1710) had died before him, with the death of his father in 1744 the last line of the noble family of Virmond died out.
