Joseph Deibel
Joseph Deibel (born May 18, 1716 in Graefendorf near Graz , † 1793 in Dresden ; also Joseph Deubel ) was a wood sculptor at the Dresden court. In 1752 he was appointed court gallery sculptor. He is considered the most important representative of rococo decoration in Dresden. Deibel created the interior of the Kurländer Palais , the Dresden Prinz-Max-Palais and, together with Johann Joseph Hackl, the interior of the Catholic Court Church , including the huge frame of the altar painting. He created over 400 picture frames for the Gemäldegalerie .
