Joseph Emanuel Weiser
Joseph Emanuel Weiser (born May 10, 1847 in Patschkau in Silesia , † April 16, 1911 in Munich ) was a German painter.
Weiser educated himself under Wilhelm von Diez at the Munich Academy , made study trips through Austria, Germany and Italy and then settled in Munich , where he mostly painted genre pictures from the 17th and 18th centuries, which are characterized by lively perception and ingenious characteristics and a shiny, piquant color.

Colossal painting
In 1888 he made an attempt at painting on a grand scale by depicting a dramatic scene from modern society: the colossal painting The Interrupted Marriage , which was exhibited in the Glass Palace , shows an interrupted marriage ceremony in a magnificent Baroque style church in life-size figures.
