Joseph Faust
Joseph Faust (born September 8, 1856 in Johannisberg , † July 31, 1919 in Hochheim ) was a German Catholic pastor and author of numerous comedies, tales and dramas.
Life
Joseph Faust studied theology and was ordained a priest in Rome on December 21, 1883. In 1894 he had his benefit in Rauenthal (Rheingau) . From 1897 he worked as a pastor in Werschau . From 1897 to 1901 he was pastor in Sossenheim . On October 1, 1904, he succeeded Johannes Krah as pastor administrator and on September 1, 1905, pastor in Oberbruch . He held this office until his retirement in 1911. His successor as pastor was Johann Dausenau.
