Joseph Jungnitz

Joseph Jungnitz (born May 17, 1844 in Nieder Mois , Neumarkt district , Province of Silesia ; † January 21, 1918 ) was a German Catholic theologian , archivist and author .

Life

From 1863 Joseph Jungnitz studied Catholic theology at the University of Breslau . After being ordained a priest in 1867, he was chaplain in Guhrau for 17 years . In 1886 he became a sub-rain of the alumnate . In 1891 he received his doctorate as Dr. theol. and in 1895 he became director of the diocesan archive built by Cardinal Georg von Kopp . In 1908 he became an honorary professor at the Faculty of Theology in Breslau.
