Joseph Olumide (born October 10, 1987 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian football player . He acts as a midfielder or as a striker .

Career

Olumide began his senior career in 2004 at SV Waldhof Mannheim , where he was used in the second team that played in the Rhein-Neckar regional league. He scored nine goals in twelve appearances in the 2005/06 season. In the first team of SV Waldhof he could not be used because the necessary game license was missing. The association tried in vain for this.

In the summer of 2006, Olumide moved to the second division club TuS Koblenz , where he was substituted on twice in the first half of the 2006/07 season . On December 31, 2006, he dissolved his contract with the TuS, as the TuS tried to commit two more attackers, whereby Olumide's chances of longer periods of use were reduced. The following January he signed a contract with the national league club TSG Thannhausen , with whom he was promoted to the Bavarian League in summer 2007 . In the winter break of the 2007/08 season he moved to the second team of Hamburger SV . After three years in Hamburg, Olumide returned to Bavaria, where he joined SV Wacker Burghausen on July 1, 2010 . The player moved to the 3rd division for the 2010/11 season . Persistent knee problems there meant that the club dissolved the contract in November 2011. In February 2012, Olumide signed a contract running until the end of the season with the Baden-Württemberg top division club 1. FC Normannia Gmünd . After the descent of the Gmünder he joined the top division rivals VfR Mannheim . For the 2013/14 season he moved to the Regionalliga promoted SVN Zweibrücken . There, however, he only had three short assignments and terminated the contract during the winter break. The Hessian league club SV Wiesbaden signed Olumide in January 2014.
