Joseph Srampickal

Joseph Benny Mathew Srampickal (born May 30, 1967 in Poovarany , India ) is an Indian clergyman and bishop of the Syro-Malabar eparchy of Great Britain .

Life

Joseph Srampickal received on 12 August 2000 following the Bishop of Palai , Joseph Pallikaparampil , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 28, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him the first bishop of the Syro-Malabar eparchy of Great Britain. The Grand Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly , George Cardinal Alencherry , donated him episcopal ordination on October 9 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Lancaster , Michael Campbell OSA , and the Bishop of Palai, Joseph Kallarangatt .
