Joseph Weishaupt

Joseph Weishaupt (born March 25, 1953 in Brochenzell , † January 22, 1992 in Kempfenhausen ) was a German radio journalist.

Life

Weishaupt was born on a farm in Brochenzell ( Baden-Württemberg ). From 1967 to 1970 he did an apprenticeship as a farmer in his parents' business. In order to acquire the Abitur on the second educational path, he went to Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt to the Ambrosianum there, which he attended from 1970 to 1973. From 1974 to 1980 he then studied German, pedagogy and empirical cultural studies at the University of Tübingen . In 1980 he submitted his master's thesis on the “German-French partnership, examined using the example of the cities of Aix and Tübingen”.

In 1982 the company moved to Munich . From there, Weishaupt worked as a radio journalist for the broadcaster Freie Berlin , Süddeutscher Rundfunk , Deutsche Welle , Westdeutscher Rundfunk and Bayerischer Rundfunk, among others . The focus of his work was on Group 47 with its authors under Hans Werner Richter . In 1990 he traveled to Dobříš in the Czech Republic to report on the group's last meeting.
