Josephine Joyce Lalam (born November 12, 2000 in Admunu-Agago ) is a Ugandan javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Josephine Lalam gained her first international experience at the Commonwealth Youth Games 2017 in Nassau , where she won the gold medal with a width of 51.89 m with the lighter spear. The following year she first took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast and was eighth there with 48.92 m. In August she won the bronze medal behind the Nigerian Kelechi Nwanaga and Jo-Ane van Dyk from South Africa at the African Championships in Asaba with a throw of 51.33 m . In 2019 she won the Junior African Championships in Abidjan with 49.78 m and was fourth at the African Games in Rabat with 53.39 m.

In 2019 Lalam became Ugandan champion in javelin and discus throwing.
