The Ugandan Athletics Championships 2019 were held on July 26th and 27th at the Mandela National Stadium near the capital Kampala .

30 athletes from Kenya, Burundi and South Sudan were also registered for the competitions. On the first day of the event, sprinter Leni Shida first broke her own national record over 400 meters in 51.47 s for the seventh time since February 2018, and on the next day she went over 200 meters with 23.43 s, with which she also did this for 12 years Justine Bayiga's old national record was broken by three hundredths of a second.
