Lucy Aber Okumu (born December 9, 1988 ) is a Ugandan javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Lucy Aber Okumu gained her first international experience at the Summer Universiade 2007 in Bangkok , where she was eliminated from the qualification with 45.84 m, as well as at the Universiade 2009 in Belgrade with 46.37 m. In 2010 she finished eighth at the African Championships in Nairobi with 46.51 m and in 2014 she was fifth at the African Championships in Marrakech with 45.50 m. In the following year she took part in the Africa Games in Brazzaville for the first time and reached fourth place there with a width of 50.52 m. At the 2016 African Championships inIn Durban she was fifth with 51.54 m and sixth at the 2018 African Championships in Asaba with a throw of 49.39 m. In 2019 she again took part in the Africa Games in Rabat , where she finished ninth with a width of 46.68 m.
