Joshua Francis Morris (born September 30, 1991 in Preston ) is an English football player . He is currently under contract with Blackburn Rovers . He is preferred in the left midfield, but can also play in the left or center-back position.
Career
Blackburn Rovers
Morris was trained in the youth academy of the English first division club Blackburn Rovers . During this time he reached the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup 2010 with his team , but where they failed at Chelsea . He was already preparing for the 2010/11 season with the first team before signing his first professional contract with the Rovers in September of the same year . This ties him to the club until the end of the 2011/12 season .
In the 1: 7 loss to Manchester United on November 27, 2010, Morris completed his first league game at professional level, in which he prepared the consolation goal . Overall, he was used four more times during the season, but did not get beyond the role of the supplementary player.
National team
After making his debut for England's U-20 national team in February 2011 , coach Brian Eastick added him to the squad for the 2011 U-20 World Cup in Colombia . There Morris completed two games for the Three Lions , which failed in the round of 16 against Nigeria .
