Joshi Kōsei ( Japanese 女子 高 生 , eng. " High School Girls ", also known as High School Girls ) is a manga series by Towa Ōshima , which appeared from 2001 to 2006 in Japan. The work falls into the genres of romance and comedy and was adapted as an anime television series.
content
The action revolves around a group of schoolgirls attending a Japanese girls' high school. The cheerful Eriko Takahashi ( 高橋 絵 里 子 ), the reserved Ayano Satō ( 佐藤 綾 乃 ) and the somewhat devious Yuma Suzuki ( 鈴木 由 真 ), who have long been close friends, go to school together. But everyday school life turns out to be not as nice as they hoped it would be. This leads to an argument with other students or the three believe the teacher Odagiri is perverted.

The manga appeared in Weekly Manga Action magazine from 2001 to 2004 , then in Comic High until the end of 2006 ! . Both magazines belong to the Futabasha publishing house , which also published the chapters in nine edited volumes.
The series has been translated into English, French, Spanish and Chinese.
Anime
In 2006, the Arms studio produced a twelve-part anime adaptation called Joshi Kōsei: Girl's-High ( 女子 高 生 GIRL'S-HIGH ) of the manga for television. Directed by Yoshitaka Fujimoto , the character design was created by Seiji Kishimoto and the artistic director was Kazusuke Yoshihara. The series concept comes from Hideki Shirane.
The series was first broadcast from April 4 to June 20, 2006 after midnight (and thus on the previous television day ) on TV Saitama , and with a half-hour offset on Chiba TV and Sun TV . A few days later, the anime was also shown on AT-X , Nagoya Broadcasting Network and TV Kanagawa . An English subtitled version was offered via the platforms Anime News Network , Crunchyroll , Hulu and YouTube and a French subtitled version via Gong. A Spanish translation was broadcast on the Buzz Channel .
