Satsuki Yukino ( Japanese 雪野 五月 / 雪 乃 五月 , Yukino Satsuki ; born May 25, 1970 in Ōtsu as Yuki Inoue ( 井上 由 起 , Inoue Yuki )) is a Japanese voice actress ( seiyū ). She works for the Ken Production agency . Satsuki Yukino is known in Japan for her roles as Kagome Higurashi in Inuyasha , Kaname Chidori in Full Metal Panic! , Milly Thompson in Trigun , Mutsumi Otohime in Love Hina , Tae Shimura in Gintama and Mion and Shion Sonozaki in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni .

Satsuki Yukino is the youngest of 4 siblings. She decided to become a voice actress when she saw the anime Ikkyū-san and Maison Ikkoku . After graduating from Shiga Ishiyama Prefectural High School ( 滋 賀 県 立 石山 高等学校 , Shiga-kenritsu Ishiyama kōtō gakkō ) she convinced her parents to let her go to Tokyo. There she attended the Tokyo technical school Announce-Gakuin ( 専 門 学校 東京 ア ナ ウ ン ス 学院 , Semmon gakkō Tōkyō anaunsu gakuin ) - a technical school for training voice actors , announcers and Owarai comedians - which she graduated in 1991.

In 1992 she had her first voice acting as a nameless girl for the US series Wonderful Years on the NHK education channel. Starting in 1996 with her role as Kiko Ninomiya in Kiko-chan Smile , she got regular roles. Although she spoke the main role in Kiko-chan Smile , she had her first major speaking role as Mei Li in Chūka Ichiban due to the lack of words of her role ! . In 1998 she followed leading roles as Red in Takoyaki Mant-Man and an accompanying leading role as Milly Thompson in Trigun . She became well known in 2000 as Kagome Higurashi in Inuyasha , in 2001 as 003 in Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier and in 2002 as Kaname Chidori in Full Metal Panic! .

Her stage name is made up of part of her stage name from the Rakugo AG during her school days and her mother's first name. In May 2003 she changed the spelling from 雪 乃 五月 to the same word 五月 .
