Joshua Grenier (born July 16, 1979 in Manchester , New Hampshire ) is a retired American football player .

Grenier first played ice hockey before joining football. In college he was one of the best ice hockey players, which earned him several offers from the NHL , which he turned down because of his studies and instead opted for football. In the US he played for New Hampshire College and Clayton College & State University and was an "All American" in 2000 during that time. At the beginning of 2003, the beefy central defender moved to the then top division club TuS Koblenz .

Since "Josh" was the only player besides Philipp Langen left from the league until the end of the 2008 season , he enjoyed great popularity with the TuS fans. After the 2007/2008 season he announced his departure from Koblenz during the summer break. He tried to continue his career in the US professional league MLS . However, when he could not find an attractive club near his home in New Hampshire, he decided to end his footballing career and has been working as a computer specialist ever since.

His greatest successes are promotion to the Regionalliga in 2004, promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2006 and winning the Rhineland Cup twice (2005 and 2006)
