Josip Riđanović
Josip Riđanović (born October 28, 1929 in Muo , Yugoslavia (today part of the municipality of Kotor , Montenegro ); † June 24, 2009 there ) was a Yugoslav hydrogeographer , oceanographer and regional scientist . In 1966/67 he was a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and a participant in the International Hydrological Program.
Life
Riđanović received his doctorate in 1963 from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics at the University of Zagreb . He taught there from 1978 until his retirement in 2000 as a full professor. He is the author of numerous hydrogeographic, karstological and geomorphological publications. His most famous work is the textbook hydrogeography .
