Jost von Venningen
Jost von Venningen († 1455 ) was an imperial knight from the family of the Lords of Venningen . He was German Master of the Teutonic Order from 1447 to 1454 .

Jost von Venningen came from the left branch of the Neidenstein family and was the third son of the Palatine court master Johann von Venningen († 1432) and Margret von Zeiskam , with whom the father was married in his first marriage.
Life
Jost von Venningen was from 1437 Komtur in Mergentheim and from 1447 German Master of the Teutonic Order. He held this office until 1454 and then held it served the Elector of the Palatinate Frederick I as a counselor and member of the manorial court in Heidelberg .
