Josy Gyr
Josephine Hannelore ("Josy") Gyr-Steiner (born October 10, 1949 in Wädenswil , † April 18, 2007 in Einsiedeln ) was a Swiss politician ( SP ). The citizen of Einsiedeln was married and had a son.
Josy Gyr had been on the district council of Einsiedeln since 1990 , where she was in charge of the welfare department. From the 2003 elections she was a member of the National Council. There she sat on the business audit commission and on the commission for public buildings. Her political priorities were social and health policy.
Gyr died a few days after she resigned from the National Council for health reasons. She suffered from pancreatic cancer .
