Jozini is a city in the northeast of the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal . It is located on the banks of the Pongolapoort reservoir on the border with Swaziland and is the seat of the Jozini municipality in the uMkhanyakude district . The name Jozini comes from isiZulu and means "place of spears".
In 2011 Jozini had 2,267 inhabitants. Jozini is close to the N2 highway . The city is in a rural area with high levels of unemployment and emigration.
