Juan Carlos López (cyclist)
Juan Carlos López Marín (born April 24, 1981 in Rionegro , Antioquia ) is a Colombian road cyclist .
Juan Carlos López was the Colombian champion in 2003 in the road race of the U23 class . He also won two stages at the Vuelta de la Juventud Colombia , where he also won the overall standings. The next year he was first overall at the Vuelta a Extremadura and in 2005 he won a stage at the Vuelta a Palencia . At the end of the 2005 season López drove for the Spanish UCI ProTeam Saunier Duval-Prodir as a stagiaire and the following year he became a professional with the Continental Team Grupo Nicolás Mateos . In 2007 he was first overall at the Clásica de Fusagasugá and he won the second stage of the Clásica Marinilla. At the Clásica de Guarné he won a stage and was able to win the overall standings. In the 2008 season López won a stage each at the Clásica Nacional Marco Fidel Suárez and at the Clásico RCN .
