Juan Carlos Sistos

Juan Carlos Sistos Belmonte (born March 23, 1992 in Lázaro Cárdenas ) is a Mexican racing driver . He started in the European F3 Open from 2010 to 2012 .

Career

Sistos began his motorsport career in 2003 in kart racing . In 2006 he switched to formula racing . He started in the Skip Barber Mid Western Regional Series , a regional formula series from the United States. In 2007 he took part in two regional series of the Skip Barber and the Skip Barber National Championship . In the national championship he was eleventh. He also drove in the Formula Renault 2.0 Panam GP Series . In 2008 Sistos competed in the LATAM Challenge Series . With a podium placement, he reached ninth place in the championship.

In 2009 Sistos moved to Europe. He competed for various teams in the Euroseries 3000 . With fourth place as the best result, he finished eighth in the drivers' standings. He also took part in the winter trophy of the Italian Formula 2000 Light. In 2010 Sistos received a cockpit at Emiliodevillota Motorsport in the European F3 Open . A third place in the season finale was his best result and he was ninth overall. He was thus internally defeated by his team-mate Fernando Monje , who had achieved sixth place. He also competed in six races of the British Formula 3 championship in the national class. In 2011, Sistos stayed with Emiliodevillota Motorsport in the European F3 Open. With regular points, four podium finishes and a second place as the best result, he improved to fourth place in the drivers' standings. He also competed in four Italian Formula Renault races. In 2012 Sistos contested his third season in the European F3 Open for Emiliodevillota Motorsport. He won his first race at the start of the season. At the end of the season, Sistos, who was not on the podium in any other races, took seventh place in the drivers' standings. He also took part in a race weekend of the Auto GP World Series , the former Euroseries 3000, for Zele Racing .
