Then Ochoa played from 2001 to 2004 first in the B team, then in the first team of Deportivo Alavés in the Primera División. After relegation in 2008/2009, he stayed with the Basques for another year. When the promotion was narrowly missed, he switched to the promoted CD Numancia instead . In the 2004/2005 season, however, the relegation was due again.

Real Murcia

After only a midfield position could be reached, Ochoa left Numancia in 2006 and joined Real Murcia . At the first attempt he rose to the Primera División with his new team . After a season, he got down with his team at the end of the season . He remained loyal to the club without being in the Segunda División . At the end of the 2009/10 season he was relegated with his team again. He was rarely used that season and was often on the bench.

The last few years

In the summer of 2010, Juan Ochoa moved to SD Huesca , who played in the Segunda División. In the first half of the 2011/12 season he was only used four times. At the end of January 2012, he dissolved his contract and was without a club for half a year. In September 2012 he was signed by Orihuela FC , who had subsequently been accepted into Segunda División B. There he was a regular player in the defense and was relegated with his club at the end of the season. in the summer of 2013 he joined the Belgian second division club KAS Eupen . With his new team he played for promotion, but missed it twice in the play-offs. While he was still a regular in the 2013/14 season , he was only used irregularly in the 2014/15 season . He was then unemployed again for half a year before Lorca Deportiva signed him in early 2016 . There he ended his career shortly afterwards.
