Juan Luis Mora Palacios (* 12. July 1973 in Aranjuez , Madrid , Spain ) is a former Spanish football - goalkeeper .

Career

Juan Luis Mora began his career with the Aranjuez football club in the third Spanish division . In 1993 Mora moved to Oviedo and played 21 games for Real Oviedo's second team until December 1994. From 1994 to 1999 he played six seasons in the Primera División with the Real Oviedo fighting team . He was in the squad of the Spaniards for the 1996 Olympic Games , but where he was eliminated with his team in the quarter-finals.

1999 Mora moved to Espanyol Barcelona , who also played in the Spanish first division. He was there within two seasons ( 2000/01 , 2001/02 ) in 71 championship games for use. In 2001 he sniffed international air for the first time, he played five games in the UEFA Cup with Espanyol .

In the 2002/03 season Mora played 41 games for the second division club Deportivo Xerez .

In 2003 Mora moved from Xerez to Valencia to Levante UD , where he was immediately the goalkeeper. In his first season on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, he played 40 games for Levante in the Segunda División and achieved promotion to the Primera División. In the 2004/05 season he played 38 games in the Primera División with Levante. However, the team only reached 18th place and thus had to relegate back to the Segunda División.

Mora left his club after relegation in 2005 and moved to city rivals Valencia CF on a free transfer . Mora was brought in as a substitute goalkeeper for number one Santiago Cañizares from the Spanish first division side . There he came to a total of two appearances in the championship and one in the UI-Cup 2005/2006 against Roda Kerkrade . In 2008 he moved back to Levante. After two years at UD, he ended his career in 2010.
