Juan Pedro Arremón , who is also known as José Pedro Arremón , (born February 8, 1899 in Montevideo , † June 15, 1979 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

Player career

Left winger Arremón was a member of the Club Atlético Peñarol squad from 1921 to 1935 . In 1921 he was Uruguayan champion in the Primera División with his club . In 1924, Arremón won the parallel championship played by the Federación Uruguaya de Football (FUF) with the Aurinegros during the phase of the split in the organizational structure of Uruguayan football . He then won four more national championship titles in 1928, 1929, 1932 and 1935. In 1928 they also won the Copa Aldao .

National team

On December 8, 1923 Arremón made his debut in the Uruguayan senior team . He celebrated his greatest success with the Celeste at the 1928 Summer Olympics , where the national team won the gold medal. He also took part with this in the South American Championship in 1927 (three inserts / one goal) and 1929 (two inserts, no goal). In the first tournament, Uruguay took second place. Arremón played his last international game on November 11, 1929. In total, he completed 14 missions for Celeste , in which he hit the opposing goal once.

Coaching

In 1943 Arremón worked as a coach of Peñarols.
