Juan David Restrepo (born October 21, 1981 in Barranquilla , Colombia ) is a Colombian guitarist , composer and producer .

Career

Juan Restrepo grew up in Colombia in Barranquilla and traveled in 2002 and 2003 as part of the " Youth jazzt " - competition with the band "Latin Sampling" by Germany . There the ensemble took first place at state and federal level, and the musicians won a study scholarship in Germany. After a year of preparation at the Central Music School in Hamburg, the musician moved to Cologne in 2005 to begin his studies as a qualified musician. Juan was the only one of 57 applicants to be accepted at the Cologne University of Music and finished his studies under the supervision of Frank Haunschild in 2010.

Juan is supported by Yamaha Guitars and Weisse Hugel Instruments.
