Juan Virgen (born April 9, 1987 in Santiago Ixcuintla ) is a Mexican volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career indoor volleyball

Virgen took part in the Club World Cup in Doha in 2012 with his club UANL Tigres .

Career beach volleyball

Virgen took part in the U18 World Championships in 2003 and 2004. With Pablo Guzman he made his first appearances on the FIVB World Tour in 2006 . In 2007, Aldo Miramontes became his partner. Virgen / Miramontes did not have any top positions on the World Tour. In 2011 they won the continental NORCECA tour and finished fourth at the Pan American Games in their home country of Guadalajara . Virgen has been playing alongside Lombardo Ontiveros since 2012 . In 2013 Virgen / Ontiveros took part in the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki and won the NORCECA tour. In their second World Cup participation in 2015 , the Mexicans finished ninth. In the same year they won the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada . Due to numerous top ten placements in the FIVB World Tour 2015/16 , Virgen / Ontiveros qualified directly via the world rankings for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
