Lombardo Ontiveros (born November 9, 1983 in Mazatlán ) is a Mexican beach volleyball player .

Career

Ontiveros took part in the U21 World Championships in 2002 and 2003. With his brother Ulises Ontiveros he had his first appearances at the FIVB World Tour from 2005 to 2007 and finished fifth at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro . From 2009 the Ontiveros brothers played on the continental NORCECA tour. Ontiveros has been playing alongside Juan Virgen since 2012 . In 2013 Virgen / Ontiveros took part in the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki and won the NORCECA tour. In their second World Cup participation in 2015 , the Mexicans finished ninth. In the same year they won the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada . Due to numerous top ten placements in the FIVB World Tour 2015/16 , Virgen / Ontiveros qualified directly via the world rankings for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
