Judith Enders

Judith Christine Enders (born February 29, 1976 in Altenburg ) is a German political scientist and author.

Enders passed her Abitur at the Charles-Darwin-Gymnasium in Berlin and studied political science at the Otto-Suhr-Institut of the Free University of Berlin with a diploma in 2001. She then worked until 2004, among other things, as a research assistant at Ver.di. -Bundesverwaltung Berlin and advisor for climate and energy at the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU). In 2004 she did a research stay in New York and at Rutgers University . In 2007, she was at the University of Kassel for Dr. rer. pole. is doing his doctorate with the thesis "Knowledge Networks in Environmental and Climate Policy". From 2007 to 2008 she was a consultant for climate policy and economic instruments of environmental policy in the parliamentary group Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . From 2009 to 2012 she worked in sustainability research at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies in Potsdam.

In 2009, Enders co-founded the “ Third Generation East Germany ” initiative and the resulting association “Perspective hoch 3 e. V. "

Since 2014 she has been a lecturer in the master’s program “Network Management Education for Sustainable Development - Focus on Childhood Education” at the Alice Salomon University in Berlin . She has also been a certified mediator and systemic coach since 2017. Since 2019 she has been a volunteer member of the board of the association "perspektiven hoch 3" and in the association Eco-City - International Campus Wünsdorf eV (ICEC Wünsdorf) for a real laboratory for sustainable urban development.

From 2019-2020 she was a member of the Federal Government's Commission “30 Years of Peaceful Revolution and German Unity”.

Scientific focus is on East Germany research, international relations, gender, feminism, aesthetic research and sustainability.

Enders is the mother of a son.
