JC Ruesselsheim
The Judo Club Rüsselsheim eV (JCR for short) was founded in 1954 in Rüsselsheim . Today the association has over 400 members.
The club colors are black and yellow. In addition to judo , Taekwondo , Ju-Jutsu and workout training are offered. In addition to the Europa Cup in 1983 and 1984, the first men's judo team won the German championship twice (1977 and 1982). The team is currently fighting in the 1st Bundesliga . The first women's team won in 1983, 1986, 1987 and 2003. Both in judo and taekwondo, athletes at JC Rüsselsheim won German championships, European and world championships. In the field of youth, the club is one of the leaders in Hessen.
history
In 1954 the JCR u. a. founded by Günter Fritsch, Reinhold Lamboy and Willi Faschinetti. The founding day was February 21st in the restaurant Zum Keglerheim . Around 30 people launched the association; 1st chairman was Günter Fritsch. In the heyday of judo in the 80s, the club had over 700 members. The current president is Edgar Binder.
