The just youth foundation is a non-profit foundation of the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese that was established in 2000 . It has a foundation sum of one million euros and has been legally independent since 2007.

The statutes stipulate that the foundation serves to “promote church youth work by all Catholic organizations in the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, based on the model of the Episcopal Youth Welfare Office”. According to the statutes, funds should be provided for:
- innovative projects and measures in the field of church youth work,
- Projects, initiatives and measures that have a religious, social, political or cultural orientation,
- technical and financial advice and support for the projects applied for.
Above all, measures at the lower levels, at the municipal and regional level, are promoted.
Foundation structure
The foundation consists of two bodies: the foundation board and the foundation council. The foundation board consists of the head of the youth department of the Episcopal Ordinariate in Rottenburg and a member appointed by the Diocesan Instructions of the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ) and the Episcopal Youth Office (BJA) and has the task of administration. The managing director has an advisory position on the foundation board. The Board of Trustees consists of up to 13 people and is composed of six elected representatives of the youth in the diocese and up to seven people from politics , business and society appointed by the bishop . The Board of Trustees is the foundation's decision-making body.
Innovation award "just Geistesblitz"
In 2005, on the occasion of its five-year existence, the youth foundation launched the innovation award "just Geistesblitz". This award, endowed with 500 euros, is awarded annually to a particularly innovative church youth work project in the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese. When making the selection, the following characteristics are taken into account: the type of action , the methods and media , the target group , the topic and the content as well as the impact and public relations work .
Funded projects (selection)
The foundation supports several projects a year. The 72-hour campaigns in 2004, 2009 and 2013 were among the most elaborate promotions .
The youth foundation also supported the "jugendforum³", a diocese campaign to innovate church youth work. This started with the future conference in the Obermarchtal monastery in January 2010. Many experiments started from this conference , some of which were also supported by the youth foundation. But smaller projects are also supported, such as the "Traces of Light" project in the Gmünder Jugendkirche . There, together with the artist Stefan W. Knor, young people created a light, art and music installation in the Schwäbisch Gmünder Johanniskirche , at the center of which was a 120 m² tissue sculpture .

Just - the youth foundation of the Catholic Church Rottenburg-Stuttgart has been a registered word mark at the German Patent and Trademark Office since April 2002 and has been trademarked since then.
