The 1997/98 season was the seventh season of the ice hockey league of the BR Yugoslavia , the highest Yugoslav ice hockey league . Champion was the first time in club history at all of HK Vojvodina .

In the main round, each of the five teams played a total of 16 games. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
