The 1998/99 season was the eighth season of the ice hockey league of the BR Yugoslavia , the highest Yugoslav ice hockey league . Champion became for the second time in the club history of HK Vojvodina Novi Sad .

In the main round, each of the three teams played a total of eight games. The two first placed qualified for the championship final. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
