Jukka Vilander (born November 27, 1962 in Naantali ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player who played for TPS Turku in the SM-liiga and Esbjerg IK in the AL-Bank Ligaen from 1979 to 1999 .

Career

Jukka Vilander began his career as a hockey player at TPS Turku , for which he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 1979/80 season . Vilander was runner-up with Turku in 1982, 1985 and 1994, and he was Finnish champion with his team in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1994 . In addition, the attacker reached second place in the 1990 European Cup with Turku behind the Soviet club HK CSKA Moscow . Three years later, in the 1993/94 season, Vilander and his team won 4: 3 against Russian rivals HK Dynamo Moscow in the final of the European Cup. After Vilander had paused ice hockey in the 1994/95 season, he continued his career in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen , where he was Danish champion with Esbjerg IK in 1996 and finally ended his career in 1998.

For Finland , Vilander took part in the A World Championships in 1986 , 1989 and 1990 .
