Julia Laggner (born April 17, 1993 in Windhoek ) is a Namibian - German beach volleyball player .

Career

Laggner played indoor volleyball in Namibia as well as in Germany in the third division and regional league . In 2011 she played beach volleyball with Corinna Wahl at the U21 World Cup in Halifax and came in 19th. In 2013 she achieved 25th place with Elizabeth Rottcher at the FIVB World Tour in Durban and with Saskia Henchkert at the U21 World Cup in Umag . At this time she also completed her first tournaments in Germany and became German university champion in 2013. In 2015 she mainly played with Alicja Leszczynska and came 13th on the Smart Beach Tour in Kühlungsborn . In 2016 Caroline Eggert became her new partner. Laggner / Eggert did not get beyond the qualification in the first year on the German tour. In 2017 they reached 13th place in Binz .

In 2018 Laggner formed a new duo with Melanie Höppner . On the Techniker Beach Tour 2018 , Höppner / Laggner achieved ninth and thirteenth places in various tournaments. In the four beach tournaments of the Techniker Beach Tour 2019 , they also came in 13th place. With Kim Seebach she reached second place at the African Beach Games 2019 in Cape Verde . In addition, Laggner / Seebach in Namibia were named Team of the Year.
