Julia Lindig

Julia Scarlett Lindig (born May 15, 1954 in Duisburg ) is a German child actress , actress and theater activist.

Life

She was born as the daughter of ballet master Ola Lindig (* May 24, 1925 - April 25, 2013). In 1968 she got the lead role as the twin brother Fritz in the children's film Mijnheer hat Lauter Daughters by Volker Vogeler . After graduating from school in 1970, she went on tour with Milan Sládek's Kefka mime ensemble . For seven years she traveled through Europe and the Middle East and appeared, especially in France, in village bars and old cinemas, but also in the large theaters of Paris and Marseille.

She then attended drama school and was involved in a performance of Heiner Müller's Hamlet machine in the Cologne City Theater . She later played in Berlin at the Volksbühne and the Schillertheater, among others . In 1980 she accepted the invitation to appear in the "New York Theater Ensemble" (No More Firmament by Antonin Artaud). In 1982 she returned to Germany and shot the film Vom Andere Stern with the director Petra Haffter . Further stations were Vienna, Zurich, Moscow, Istanbul, Lisbon and Munich.

In the film biography Marie Ward - Between Galgen and Glorie , Julia Lindig took on the role of Maria Ward's most important colleague Mary Poyntz at the side of Hannelore Elsner . She was also seen in several television productions. Today she is managing director and owner of the internet company webdesign berlin (TYPO3 agency in Berlin) and campaigns for more education and thus against poverty worldwide with poetic campaigns.
