Julia Stavickaja

Julia Stavickaja (born December 3, 1997 in Bremen ) is a German rhythmic gymnast .

career

Starting for Bremen in 1860 , Stavickaja first took part in the German Junior Championships in 2011 and finished fourth in the all-around competition. In the device finale with the tire, she secured the bronze medal. The following year she was able to improve to third in the all-around competition. She also received the bronze medal in 2012 for her club practice.

Julia Stavickaja has started in the senior division since 2013 and was able to achieve sixth place in the master class in the all-around competition at her first German championship. In the device finals with ball and tape, she was fifth. At the German Championships 2014 in Halle she was again sixth in the all-around competition. For the first time she was represented in all device finals and was able to take third place with the clubs. In the summer of 2014 Stavickaja became a member of the German national team group. Although she trained in Fellbach near Stuttgart , she continued to go to school in Bremen. At the World Cup in Kazan in September 2014, she finished eighth in the all-around group with the group. At the 2014 World Championships, they finished ninth in the all-around competition. In 2015, the group missed direct Olympic qualification at the World Championships . At the Olympic Games, the group took tenth place.

Although she actually wanted to end her career, she trained again as an individual gymnast in Bremen and was able to become German champion with the ribbon at the German Gymnastics Festival in 2017 . Due to staff shortages, Stavickaja returned to the national team group at short notice in the summer and took 14th place at the World Championships in Pesaro . In 2018 she became German runner-up three times and, after the failure of another gymnast, was allowed to go to the world championships in Sofia as an individual gymnast , where she finished 80th. In 2019 Julia Stavickaja was able to win three runner-up titles and the title with the clubs at the German championships.
