Julia Voitowitsch

Julia Voitowitsch (born December 8, 1976 in Kiev ) is a German swimmer and Olympic participant. She started for the Frankfurt swimming community .

successes

The 1.68 m tall and 58 kg heavy athlete won several championship titles:

• German championships
  • 100 m dolphin: 3rd place in 1993, runner-up in 1994, master in 1995, runner-up in 1996
• German short course championships:
  • 50 m dolphin: 1995 champion
  • 100 m dolphin: 1994 champion, 1995 champion, 1996 runner-up

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , she started over 100 m dolphin and finished fourth in the B final in 1: 01.14 minutes.

European championships

She celebrated her greatest successes at the European Championships, where she won several medals as a relay and individual swimmer:

• European Sprint Championships 1993 in Gateshead :
  • GOLD over 4 × 50 m positions in 1: 53.26 min. Ahead of Sweden (silver in 1: 53.74 min.) And Great Britain (bronze in 1: 57.13 min.) Team: Sandra Völker , Sylvia Gerasch , Julia Voitowitsch and Annette Hadding
  • BRONZE over 50 m dolphin in 27.91 seconds behind the Swede Louise Karlsson (gold in 27.49 seconds) and the Russian Swetlana Posdejewa (silver in 27.88 seconds)
• European Sprint Championships 1994 in Stavanger :
  • GOLD over 4 × 100 m layers in 1: 53.58 minutes ahead of Russia (silver in 1: 54.21 minutes) and Sweden (bronze in 1: 54.51 minutes) Team: Sandra Völker, Manuela Näckel , Julia Voitowitsch and Daniela Hunger
  • BRONZE over 50 m dolphin in 27.92 seconds behind the Dutch Angela Postma (gold in 27.48 seconds) and the Slovak Martina Moravcová (silver in 27.84 seconds)
• European Swimming Championships 1995 in Vienna :
  • GOLD over 4 × 100 m positions in 4: 09.97 minutes ahead of Hungary (silver in 4: 12.00 minutes) and Spain (bronze in 4: 12.52 minutes) Team: Cathleen Rund , Jana Dörries , Julia Voitowitsch and Franziska van Almsick
• European Short Course Championships 1996 in Rostock :
  • GOLD over 4 × 50 m layers in the European record time of 1: 51.79 minutes ahead of the Netherlands (silver in 1: 52.80 minutes) and Sweden (bronze in 1: 53.06 minutes). Team: Antje Buschschulte , Sylvia Gerasch, Julia Voitowitsch and Sandra Völker
  • BRONZE over 100 m dolphin in 1: 00.51 minutes behind the Swede Johanna Sjöberg (gold in 58.80 seconds) and Sandra Völker (silver in 59.44 seconds)
