Julian Alston
Julian M. Alston (born October 30, 1953 in Melbourne ) is an Australian - American agricultural economist . He is a professor at the University of California, Davis .
Life
Alston grew up on a farm in northern Victoria . He studied agricultural science at the University of Melbourne ( Bachelor , 1975) and La Trobe University ( Master , 1979). His Ph.D. in economics from North Carolina State University in 1984 . From 1984 to 1988 Alston worked in the Victoria Department of Agriculture. Since 1988 he has been a professor at the University of California at Davis .
Alston is married with two children.
