Julian May

Julian Clare May (born July 10, 1931 in Chicago , Illinois ; died October 17, 2017 ) was an American writer . She used a number of pseudonyms in the course of her career, the most famous being Ian Thorne .

She has authored more than 290 children's books as well as science fiction and fantasy . She has co-authored Marion Zimmer Bradley on several occasions .

  • Dune Roller (1952), an episode of the television series Tales of Tomorrow
  • The Cremators (1974; also: Dune Rollers ). May wrote the script under the pseudonym Judy Ditky
