Julian Stockwin

Julian Stockwin (* 1944 in Basingstoke , Hampshire , England ) is a British author who is best known for his naval war novels about Thomas Paine Kydd.

Life

Stockwin joined the Royal Navy in 1959 at the age of fifteen . When his parents emigrated to Australia , he joined the Royal Australian Navy . After eight years of service, he completed a degree in Psychology and Far Eastern Studies at the University of Tasmania ( Hobart ).

He and his wife, Kathy, lived in Hong Kong for a while . They both returned to England in 1990 and now live in Guildford , Surrey .

Julian Stockwin is a retired Lieutenant Commander and has been awarded a Member of the British Empire (MBE).
