Vernon Lorden Shaw (born May 13, 1930 in Roseau ; † December 2, 2013 ibid) was a Dominican politician . He was the president of Dominica .

He went to school in Dominica and studied at Trinity College in England. In 1998 he was elected to parliament as a member of the United Workers' Party. After the previous President Crispin Sorhaindo did not run after one term, he was from October 6, 1998 to October 1, 2003, before he was replaced by his successor Nicholas Liverpool .
